EUROPEAN FEDERATION FOR RESEARCH IN REHABILITATION

COUNCIL

The Council is the governing body of the European Federation for Research in Rehabilitation. It consists of a minimum of five, but no more than nine, members and it reflects, as far as possible, the multiprofessional and international nature of the European Federation for Research in Rehabilitation. The members of the Council are elected at the Assembly Meeting which is held during a European Congress. Council members assume their duties immediately after the meeting at which they were elected and remain in office until the next Assembly.
The Council is responsible for deciding the arrangement for all meetings and other EFRR business. It has the power to co-opt members, set up sub-committees and to determine the representation of EFRR on other bodies. The Council meets on every occasion of a European Congress and on such other occasions as they or the President consider may be necessary.
Members of the Council due to retire after the next European Congress are notified to members with the formal notice of the meeting; together with the Council's nominations to fill these vacancies. On receipt of such notice any member may propose alternative candidate(s) by sending in writing the name(s) of the candidate(s) supported by the endorsement of another member (as referred to above) and the consent of the candidate(s) to the Honorary Secretary to arrive in his hands not later than the day preceding the Assembly Meeting.
